Main Street Meats

Main Street Meats is the result of a collaboration between local farmers and restauranteurs. The goal was to not only sell quality local meats and ingredients at the butcher counter, but to also highlight and utilize those ingredients for patrons who would rather dine in.

Built within two existing storefronts, the design of the 3,000 sf space focused on optimization of space and resources to enable the inclusion of a full-service butcher shop, kitchen and restaurant seating for 40. Using subway tile, raw steel and reclaimed wood, the result is a charming interior that redefines the classic butcher shop aesthetic into an active and inviting dining destination. The exterior scope, while limited, includes a canopy designed to functionally provide shade and shelter while evoking the character of an old train platform canopy.
